CHRISTMAS POEM

On the 24th December Christmas begins

A time for presents, sprigs of holly

And sparkly shiny things

Twinkling lights on the Christmas tree

The angel on the top as happy as can be

Presents for family and friends

And presents for me

Christmas is about giving and not receiving

But most of all Christ was born. A time to celebrate for all

Maggie Hoggs Across the River

We were enjoying eggs by the river
Eating, eating, yummy, yummy,
Unknown to us on the other side
Was mum behind a tree.

Just up on the other side
Maggie Hoggs came out,
Shouting out to us
Screeching like mad.

Closer she came up to us
Then to our surprise,
Mum came running out
And went into the river.

"Go away" said Mum
But we didn't move,
She was trying to grab Mrs Hoggs
Then mum got her by the skirt.

The skirt of course was long and wide
And was floating like wings,
"Let me breathe on them," she shouted
"So they may be infected."

CROC MADNESS

Snap, snap, snap
I hear little croc
Snap, snap, snap
He's coming to look for food
Snap, snap, snap
I see him far and wide
Snap, snap, snap
He's getting closer
And closer
He's coming to eat
Me up

AAAAAAAAAA!

The Hissing Cockroach

Hiss hiss hiss
Say the hissing cockroaches
On a sunny day
When the heat is outstanding

Hiss hiss hiss
as they sit under rocks
Hoping night will come soon
When it begins to cool

Making friends

One morning I was shopping when I saw three girls. They had smiles on their faces and they were skipping in circles. I went right up to them and asked if I could play. They said, "yes." We all went to buy some toffees. Then I asked what their names were. They said Sharon, Helen and Lucy.

"My name's Suzy" I said.

Sharon, Helen and Lucy came with me to my house and had tea then Lucy had to go home. Then Sharon and Helen had to go. I said I'd meet them in the park the next day. "Ok," they said. When we were on the way to the park we stood in a line on the street and danced until it was time to go.

Open The Door.

Go and open the door
You will come to a poster
It will tell you
Where to go.

So go and open the door
You will see a poor dog
You give him a bone

So go and open the door
You will hear a voice
Listen to it
And it will tell you the way home.

So go and open the door
Look into the sky
It will show you the way the world live
The plants and the creatures
The way we live.

Treasure

One cold day I went in my attic with my sister. My sister was looking for her old gameboy. I was looking for a picture of me as a baby. My sister shouted "Look,Look." I looked thinking it was something interesting. My sister then told me it was just an old pair of socks. 1 said to my sister, "I've found a picture of you as a baby, but not me yet." My sister found her old gameboy. I found a picture of me as a baby.

Me and my sister found a bag in the corner of the attic. 1 looked closer it was a Spar bag. A gem was hanging out of the bag. My sister saw a necklace with diamonds all around it. [ then rooted in the bag and found a card inside.

We took the bag downstairs to the kitchen. My sister showed my mum the necklace. My mum tipped the bag out. My sister found a ring with a huge diamond on it. My sister gave it to me to keep.

Me,mysister and my mum kept some jewels. 1 opened the card it was written to Sally Peacock. It was the lady who lived in my house before me. We gave the rest of the sparkerly jewels to a jewellers. We got one thousand pounds for 50 jewel and shared the money out evenly.

The Adventures of the Rain Forest.

I was at home watching a video then my mum said, "Get the rabbit food please Gemma."

"Ok." I replied. So I went to get it, but when I went to get it I opened the door and there was no rabbit food instead there was a rain forest with lots of plants and animals.

I walked in and all the animals stopped and stared then a cute little monkey walked very slowly to me then it said, "Do you speak?"

Then I stopped and said, "Of course I speak, but the thing is how do you speak?"

"We were born to talk like you were." It said. Then the monkey told me his name, he said it was Scarler, Scarler then showed me around the rain forest. Then we went through the forest to his house, his house was made out of brown straw and an over top roof. Then we went in and I met his family. Scarlers family had funny shaped beaks and brown, soft fur. Scarler’s mum offered me some bananas and I thanked her for them then she gave Scarler some. After that we went to see all the other animals and talked to them for a bit. Then we went swimming in the river with some elephants and crocodiles which were very nice animals.

Then I just realized the time, it was nearly three o clock so I must have been there for about four ours at least. So I asked Scarler where my way back was and Scarler said I had to find the tallest tree in the whole of the rain forest then walk the opposite way from the tree to the door and he said I 'd be back where I came from. Then I asked Scarler where the tallest tree is. And he said it's opposite the lions nest of course. So Scarler took me to the lion's nest, then to the tallest tree to say good bye. So I walked to the door said good bye.

KILLIAN

Into The Past.

We got off the bus. It was raining so hard it was misty so we could not see where my gran’s house was. Then I felt something. I felt there was a barn down the valley. So I went down the valley and there was a barn. We went in the barn to keep dry. But it was still cold. I felt it again. I saw a red berry bush. I got a branch and put it on the door to scar away bad spirits. I walked back in to the barn I felt there were bins for food. I walked even more into the barn. I felt there was a barn boulder for a table. I was scared of the feeling I had been having. I wished I was at gran’s house next to the warm fire and nice hot chocolate. I felt it again. I felt there were shutters on the window that should open but my sister came over and I felt safe again.

THE THREE LITTLE PIGS

I’m Imi, some people call me the third little pig. My Dad thinks I’m the brains of the family, my Mum thinks I’m the brains of the family and my brothers think I’m a show-off and don’t like me too much.

Anyway, I was sitting on the sofa when I heard a sneeze, a great powerful sneeze and a piece of hay fell on my lap and I knew my 1st brother was in trouble, it not my fault he’s not that clever. When I saw my bro there was only his tail left being slurped up like spaghetti by a wolf which saw me and dashed fast. I was on my way to my second brother’s house to warn him and there it was again, that ear popping sneeze, that was the sign that the wolf was in town. I had brains not speed and a wolf is built to dart away like a jackrabbit on a hot summer morning so when I got there, there was only his head left. I checked if he HAD a brain and nope. I’m surprised he was still hungry but that’s a wolf, he started charging at me. I beat him back, whew! , I did a few gestures while I phoned the police. The wolf stayed for a visit and got arrested by a fellow called Officer Porkus. He got put in jail for 20 years if you want to know. And as it says in other fairy tales. I lived happily ever after

Auntie Sue   Auntie Sue was kind and forgiving
She was very happy while she was living

She wore a pretty smile

Which brightened up the day

And never let the sun ever fade away.

Auntie Sue came to all our celebrations
Because we thought of her as one of our relations

She always made us welcome
When we went to visit her

Getting videos and little toys
For the children who went there.

She went to sleep one chilly night
But never woke to the morning light

She was a mother, friend and sister

And we will all really miss her

My First Day at Chirk Castle

It was my first day at Chirk Castle. I was really nervous and lonely. I got to the gates and the soldiers asked what I was doing. I had to tell them I was a servant. The same thing happened next to a big door then I was let through.
The smells were horrible from all the animals and the courtyard was muddy. I didn't know where to go, then a lady came out with a bundle of clothes, put them in my hand and took me to the servants' hall.
The servants' hall was full of servants doing different jobs.. There was straw on the floor with pillows for the boys to share, the girls slept on the benches. The straw on the floor was dirty, crumbs swept from the table and rats and mice.. Then I got dressed.
I was given some jobs next. I have to give the people down in the dungeons bread and water before meals light the candles with a taper for the Myddleton family, help make fresh pomandes for the family, help get Sir Thomas dressed and clean the house. Then I have to help with servant meals as well.
I did all these. I was being given more jobs than the rest and I was being picked on, I was being treated like a piece of dirt. I wish I was at home with my family but I have to earn money for them. At last bed time came. I was exhausted. I wondered what my next day at Chirk Castle would be like.

In the dripping rain
was the noise of a tap

L.S Lowry's adventure

One day me and Hayley were walking along the Prom and guess who we saw? It was L.S Lowry. He was sitting on a blue bench drawing all the boats so I went to see him. The picture was great. It was very colourful. Then he went into a big field where there were 4 girls playing happily so L.S Lowry drew them. I asked him to tell me how to draw them. When I had a go it didn't come out well so I had a second go. It was a lot better. At the end of the day we all said bye. At home I tried drawing Hayley. It was very good.

Staring at the Beach

I was in Rhos-on-Sea when I saw people gathering on on the beach, why they were doing this I don't know. I pushed my way through the crowd, ''it was a boy on the breakwater,'' he was going to fall off, everyone was staring at him. He fell off, down he went and splash, ''Help, he can't swim."

''Don't worry I'll save you,'' it was a nice lifeboat man and he jumped into the sea. He swam as fast as he could he got the boy just in time. His mum said, "Don't do that again.''

Back in time

I wanted to stay

The Box.

I was walking home one day and I found a small metal box. I prised the box open.

Green flashes came from the box. I found myself in a jungle with a Dragon munching trees." Who are you?"' I asked quite puzzled.

''I am the oldest of four more Dragon legends," answered the Dragon.''I need four magic stones to bring them back.''

"Where are these magic stones?" I said.

''I've got one here, but the other ones are scattered round the island, and I need all four stones to bring all my brothersback''.

So we set off looking for the three remaining stones. And one by one we found them until there was only one left to find.

We came to a volcano and the Dragon said," The last one is down here, so drop that metal box down the volcano and it will come back up with the last magic stone and I'll get my brothers back and you can go home.''

So I dropped the box down and it came up with the last magic stone and the Dragons appeared and a portal opened.

''Hey, take the stones and keep them safe.'' I take the stones and go through the portal back home.

Into The Past.

I’m going to grandma’s. I’m going to grandma’s I thought to myself as the bus finally stopped but then it began to rain. What a time to stop and get off the bus I thought angrily but it didn’t matter because I’m going to grandmas. I’m going to grand…. But then something caught my eye. There were some berries nearby but something surged in my head, some information but by the look of my family they didn’t have these strange feelings. The rain got heavier by every minute. I tried to break the berries but they did not want to go. Then I said it. “ Berriesto get rid of evil spirits.” ….. The wind whacked my face. It was no good sheltering here. Then it hit me again more information but something seemed familiar there was a barn. I had no time to wonder why this could be. We ran as fast as our legs would let us. Dad ran ahead. Finally we made it. Dad was not there.

‘The Three Little Pigs’

The Brother’s Tale.

Hi my name is Ben you may call me the third little pig in the story, my mum thinks I m  the brains of the family and my brothers think I’ m mum’s pet I think they’re jealous but I know that they love me. Well this is how it goes. This is my story how it happened;I was just sitting at home watching telly and waiting for a pizza to arrive when I heard a great big sneeze then I thought that could be……..no it can’t be. Then I heard another sneeze, then I thought oh no, it’s the big bad wolf he hasn’t got that awful cold again has he? So I rushed outside to see what had happened. When I got outside I saw that the wolf had blown my brother’s house down with a big sneeze, I couldn’t blame him, he built his house made out of straw. What kind of pig would build his house out of straw, not any other pig but my brother, he probably would have been too lazy. I ran over there before he had eaten him but it was too late he grabbed him and ate him. I went back to the house to wait for that pizza but a few minutes later I heard another big sneeze. I rushed outside to see what had happened you’ve probably guessed. Well if you guessed that it was the big bad wolf you’re right and guess which house he blew down this time? Yes it was my second brother’s house, a bit smarter but made out of sticks. I ran over again but I didn’t t make it he had eaten him what would my mum say? Never mind at least I still get that pizza.
